Format For Inward Remittance Through Swift
The procedure for funds transfer/inward remittance is simple. All you have to do is instruct your bankers (in the country of remittance - e.g. USA) as under: Remit USD--- to BANK OF NEW YORK, NEW YORK (SWIFT CODE IRVTUS3N) for credit to A/c No. 803-3165-537 of BANK OF MAHARASHTRA, Mumbai for further credit to NRE A/c No. --- of ---- with ---- Branch, ---- India.
Swift Code of Bank of Maharashtra is MAHBINBB.
To facilitate quick and safe transfer of funds, we maintain our accounts with 18 banks all over the world. The list of these correspondent banks with their addresses and our account details are included in the remittance message:
- Name and address of our correspondent bank abroad and corresponding SWIFT Code.
- Amount required.
- Our account number as mentioned in the enclosed list.
- Your name and account details.
- Name of our branch where you have the account.
For opening an account with us all you have to do is download and fill the Account Opening Form and submit the same at any of our branches.
